Transfer & International Students
COVID-19 Update | 3.27.20: The Center for Orientation, Transitions & Leadership is currently in the process of assessing our summer events for 2020, and will be posting any updates on these pages once available. Thank you for your patience, and please check back soon!
We are excited that you will be joining the Providence College community! Please note that all new students – first-year and transfer, resident and commuter – are required to participate in both the Advising & Registration Day and Fall Orientation programs.
All new international students on Providence College-sponsored F-1 and J-1 visas are required to attend a Welcome Program (hosted by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies). Immediately following the program, students will take part in an Advising & Registration Day (2020 date to be announced), and the Fall Orientation Program, hosted by the Center for Orientation, Transitions & Leadership.
Incoming transfer students will take part in a Transfer Advising & Registration Day on June 11 (for students who deposit by June 1) OR July 30 (for students who deposit after June 1, or cannot attend on June 11), in addition to the first weekend of Fall Orientation programming. During both events, participants will have an opportunity to connect with current and former transfer students, to meet faculty and staff, and to begin to find their place within our campus community. Please note: Parents and guardians of transfer students are also encouraged to attend the Advising & Registration Day program. Sample schedules for both students and parents/guardians are available in the “See Also” section of this webpage.
