Student receiving degree

Welcome to “PC1G,” an initiative designed to help first-generation students and their families find resources, programs, and campus partners, so that they may thrive at Providence College.

Did you know there are over 500 first-generation students at PC?

We generally define “first-generation college students” as those whose parents did not complete a four-year college education. While it is our intent for PC1G to serve those students and their families, we hope that any member of the Providence College community who needs assistance and finds their way to this page will reach out to the resources listed within.

The PC1G initiative is overseen by The Center for Orientation, Transitions & Leadership, in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate & Graduate Studies, Providence College’s Parent Program, and the Division of Student Affairs.
